Labiaplasty (Labia Reduction, Labia Beautification) - In this procedure, the labia majora and labia minora are surgically reduced and made smaller to give a woman's external genitalia more youthful look. The goal of the surgery is to provide a balanced, comfortable appearance of the labia area. Labia appearance issues typically result from sexual intercourse, childbirth, genetics, or aging. There may also be asymmetry between the inner and outer labia lips, which may cause discomfort.
Labia Majora :
Labia majora remodeling is performed when the outer lips of the vagina are enlarged with excess skin and tissue. This enlargement may causes embarrassment and insecurity. Sometimes, the labia majora may be enlarged from birth, secondary to childbirth, or due to aging. A portion of each inner labium is removed. The scar is hidden in the concavity between the inner and outer labia. This surgery is minor and takes about one and a half hours.
Labia Minora :
The procedure consists of making fine incisions on the sides of each labia (labia minora or inner lips) placed within natural folds and creases. The excess tissue is removed and the incision site is closed using absorbable sutures. This surgery is minor and takes about one and a half an hour.
