God's Own Country, Kerala is known for its natural beauty especially its beaches and backwaters that are the most prized attractions at Kerala. Alleppey Beach - Located on the southern side of Kerala, the beaches of Allapuzha are some of the most renowned beach holiday places in India. Bekal Beach - Located 2km from the Kovalam city, this small palm fringed beach is popular for beautiful views of sunset. This has now developed as a exotic beach holiday destination with the inclusion of a children's park, beach resorts and some small gardens near the famous Bekal Fort, which is the single major attraction near the beach.
Marari Beach - At a distance of 60km from Kochi, there is a long sandy beach near the local fishing
village Mararikulam. The swaying palm trees and coconut grooves add to the beauty of the Marari beach. Also one can get a first hand experience of the local tradition of Kerala by visiting the village. The beach also provides facilities for water sports like swimming, parasailing and surfing.
